Office assistants aid in that mission by greeting and checking in clients, answering phone calls and questions, and helping with office duties, such as data entry and scheduling appointments. Office assistants take part in HIPPA and confidentiality training to maintain client privacy.�� Volunteers are asked to sign up for a weekly basis.� Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.
