The Give Back Challenge – April 20-May 31, 2026
Employers, join the six-week Give Back Kansas Challenge and energize your workplace through employer-supported volunteering. On the clock or on their time! Co-hosted by the Kansas Volunteer Commission and Volunteer Kansas, this statewide challenge celebrates service while strengthening employee engagement, wellness, and teamwork.
Participation is free and open to any Kansas employer, business, nonprofit, school, or government agency of any size. Compete as one organization or by individual location. Track volunteer hours online and watch your impact grow.
Employers compete in small, medium, and large categories, with leaderboards updated every Friday. The top organization in each category, determined by the highest average volunteer hours logged, will earn a $1,000 donation to a nonprofit of their choice, and employees who participate will be celebrated too!

FOR MORE INFORMATION OR TO REGISTER, VISIT GBKSC.
There is no cost to participate, and the challenge is open to ANY employer in KANSAS (for profit, nonprofit and government).
Employers may participate as one organization or by location if there are multiple sites. Employers register in advance to participate, and volunteer hours are reported through an online portal by the organization’s self-designated point of contact.
Based on the number of entries received and company sizes, businesses will be divided into three categories (large, medium, and small).
Winners will be selected based on the average number of volunteer hours per employee during the challenge period (total volunteer hours / total employees). The leaderboard will be updated every Friday! Companies achieving the highest average in each size category will have a $1,000 donation made on their behalf by Volunteer Kansas to the nonprofit of their choice. Employees who participate, will be celebrated too!
REGISTRATION BEGINS MARCH 9 AND ENDS APRIL 9.
