As the festive season draws near, Volunteer Kansas is urging the public to support our deployed troops by participating in the “Presents in a Package” event. With an estimated 450,000 service members stationed overseas and over half of them not receiving a care package, there’s a critical need for our community’s involvement.

Ways You Can Contribute

An estimated 450,000 men and women serve overseas, sadly more than 50% never get a care package. Volunteer Kansas and Murfin Media would like your help in changing that.

There are many ways that you can contribute:

• Submit names and addresses of deployed Kansans to bit.ly/DEPLOYEDKANSAN by 11/11/24.

• Volunteer to assemble boxes, pack boxes, load boxes, address boxes, or sort and set up donations on November 15th from 10 a.m. –  2:00 p.m. at the Farm Credit Bank Building, 245 N Waco – Wichita. Sign up here.

• Donate items by 11/13/24. Donation List.
• Donate toward the $23 postage per package. Donate online  via Facebook, send checks to: Volunteer Kansas PO Box 781598 Wichita KS  67278, or make donations at any Southwest National Bank branch.
